About The Forward: The Forward is the leading Jewish voice in American journalism, fully digital since 2019, reaching 1.5 million people a month. The Role: Lead a major-gifts development program focused on major gifts and philanthropies; manage a three-person team; grow major donor base and institutional giving; support new projects. Core Responsibilities: Increase donated revenue (grow major donated revenue and special campaigns); lead major donors and foundations programs (secure gifts of $100,000+); build fundraising strategy and infrastructure; collaborate with the CEO; drive visibility and outreach; diversify revenue streams (events, sponsorships, grants). Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years in fundraising leadership; deep background in major gifts and institutional giving; track record with five-to-seven figure gifts; excellent communication and team leadership; familiarity with journalism and the Jewish community. What We Offer: Hybrid work (onsite 1–2 days/week in NYC), generous benefits, and salary range $175,000–$205,000.
