Group Therapist- Early Childhood Mental Health P/T

Ohel is actively seeking an experienced Group Therapist to join our Perinatal and Early Childhood Mental Health team out of the family-centered clinic in Far Rockaway. Candidate will run groups for clients with mental health needs including postpartum and perinatal mood disorders, social skills, parenting and relationship conflict. Responsibilities:
• Conduct intakes for individual and group therapy clients
• Design and oversee groups tailored to address community needs
• Facilitate evidence based therapy groups including social skills groups for young children and parenting groups utilizing Circle of Security and other parenting models you will be trained in.
• Foster collaborative relationships with individual therapists, promoting a cohesive and coordinated approach to treatment
• Collaborate with agency clinicians and staff to identify areas of need for potential new groups
• Complete all required documentation in a professional and timely manner.
Qualifications:
• Valid license or limited permit in the state of New York (MSW, LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, MHC, LMFT, MFT, LCAT) is required
• 3 years’ experience in delivering both individual and group therapy sessions
• Proficiency in evidence based treatment
• Experience working with families, parents and/or children

The ideal candidate will have strong documentation and writing, alongside the ability to seamlessly integrate into a clinical team. Strong assessment and diagnostic abilities, as well as proficient documentation and writing skills, are essential. Group therapist will be provided with opportunities to learn evidence based group treatment models. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing group programs that address the needs of both the community and the clinic, demonstrating creativity, efficiency, and the ability to deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
This is a part time , salaried position is located in Far Rockaway with additional performance-based incentives and a sign-on bonus. Two evenings, or one evening and one Sunday are required weekly.
Salary: $45,000-$55,000
