Ohel seeks an experienced and creative Director to lead HR functions and employee relations, and play a pivotal role in recruiting, training, and preparing our staff for the future.
They seek a leader with excellent communication skills, judgement, creativity, listening skills, and the ability to balance the needs of the organization as well as its workforce. This passionate leader should be self-motivated, conduct themselves with integrity and must maintain discretion. This is an in-office position and reports to the Chief Administrative Officer.
Responsibilities
- This position supervises a Recruitment Manager, HR Generalist, Benefits Coordinator and an Executive Assistant.
- Develop innovative strategies and lead the Agency’s HR team in successfully attracting and referring quality candidates for open positions
- Direct and oversee management on disciplinary matters, assist employees with concerns or complaints, conduct employment-related functions including investigations, suspensions, and terminations
- Create dynamic staff engagement programs leading to successful employee satisfaction and retention, including mentorship programs, internships, leadership development programs, staff appreciation events and internal information sharing tools
- Coach and provide expertise in employee relations and performance management, ensuring successful partnerships with leadership and employees alike across the agency.
- Maintain awareness of industry HR related requirements and best practices, enforce existing Agency policies, and collaborate in developing new policies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field, Masters preferred
- 5+ years of related leadership experience, including overseeing Recruitment & Onboarding, as well Employee Relations and Benefits.
