Margolin Hebrew Academy-Cooper Yeshiva of the South (MHA-CYOS) is seeking a High School Jewish History, Thought, and Israel Studies Teacher who is passionate about Jewish learning, Am Yisrael, and helping students develop the knowledge, skills, and confidence to engage deeply with Jewish history and contemporary Jewish life. The ideal candidate will challenge students intellectually, support them thoughtfully, and guide them in forming a grounded relationship with Torah, Jewish history, and the State of Israel. Qualified candidates will: Have experience teaching Jewish History, Jewish Thought, Israel Studies, or Judaic Studies at the high school level; Demonstrate strong content knowledge and comfort working with primary sources, historical texts, and modern Jewish thought; Design engaging, rigorous lessons that promote analysis, discussion, writing, and evidence-based argumentation; Foster a classroom culture grounded in middot tovot, intellectual honesty, respectful discourse, and curiosity; Guide students in developing a thoughtful, informed, and values-based approach to Israel education and advocacy; Inspire students to see themselves as active members of Am Yisrael, connected to Jewish history, community, and responsibility.
