Overview
Director of Jewish Counseling Services:
The Director oversees the operations of the Jewish Counseling Program, including budgeting, client services, and the management of reduced fee services for qualified Jewish applicants. This role also conducts comprehensive behavioral health intakes and diagnostic assessments, conducts treatment planning, and provides a range of qualified & recognized behavioral health treatment services as necessary to meet client’s needs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate services with other involved agency treatment staff
- Provide clinical supervision to staff and students as assigned
- Represent the Jewish Counseling Program in the greater Phoenix Jewish Community
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
- Demonstrated capacity to provide a range of behavioral health treatment services to an outpatient population
- Demonstrated ability to assess crisis and emergent situations
- Demonstrated capacity to represent the agency at community meetings and events
- Demonstrated capacity to meet clinical recordkeeping standards
- General familiarity with Jewish holidays, customs and life cycle events
- Prepares required reports, inclusive of incident reports, DCS referrals, QI/QM activities, performance audits, and compilation of meeting minutes.
- Completion of clinical screens to evaluate risk levels and medical conditions.
- Ensures all services are clinically necessary and are documented as such within outlined timeframes
Qualifications
- Independent Licensed by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (i.e. LCSW, LPC, or LMFT), or the Arizona Board of Psychological Examiners.
- Certified by the AZ Board of Behavioral Health Examiners to provide Clinical Supervision.
- At least 5 years' post-graduate work experience in providing and supervising behavioral health clinical services.
- Jewish by birth or choice
- Familiarity with Jewish holidays and Jewish life cycle events.
- Some familiarity with Yiddish and/or Hebrew languages is a plus.
