Jewish Family & Children's Service (JFCS) is a non-sectarian, non-profit agency that offers a range of innovative and specialized behavioral health, medical and social services for children, adults and families without regard to race, gender, age, disability, ethnicity, religion or economic status. Our services include family and individual therapy, child crisis intervention, substance abuse counseling and prevention, older adult services, support for victims of domestic violence, job skills and GED training for teens in foster care. Our goal is to foster healing, restore hope, increase self-sufficiency, and reduce family violence in our community. “Healing Lives. Whatever It Takes.” Other facts about JFCS: • Last year alone JFCS served more than 41,000 individuals from under-served, low-income, at-risk, and minority populations. Our wide range of behavioral health and child & family solution-based programs help the neediest people in our community who are facing desperate mental, behavioral and medical challenges. • 97% of JFCS clients live at or below the poverty level. • 67% of our clients are children and teens. • 60% of the children in the state foster care system who need behavioral health services are referred to JFCS for treatment. • Celebrating over 80 years of community service, JFCS continues to be one of the largest and most comprehensive service providers of behavioral health and social welfare services to children and families in Arizona.
