Position Summary

The Water Slide Attendant is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of water slides and aquatic attractions. This position ensures all guests follow established safety rules, monitors rider eligibility, assists with guest questions, and helps create a positive and enjoyable experience for all patrons. Water Slide Attendants play a key role in maintaining a safe environment by remaining alert, communicating effectively with aquatics staff, and responding appropriately to emergencies and operational concerns.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Monitor the operation of assigned water slides and aquatic attractions.
  • Enforce all facility policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
  • Ensure riders meet all height, age, and safety requirements before entering attractions.
  • Control rider dispatch to maintain proper spacing and safe slide operation.
  • Observe riders throughout the attraction and report any unsafe behavior immediately.
  • Assist guests with directions, facility information, and general questions.
  • Communicate effectively with lifeguards, supervisors, and other aquatics team members.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned areas, including picking up debris and reporting maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor guest conduct and address rule violations in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Promote a welcoming, friendly, and customer-focused environment for members and guests.

Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement of 14.
  • Previous customer service, recreation, or aquatics experience preferred but not required.
  • Ability to successfully complete facility-specific training before working independently.

Work Environment

Work is performed primarily in an indoor aquatic facility with frequent exposure to water, sunlight, noise, and heat. Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance, uphold safety standards, and provide superior service to all members and guests.
