Job Summary: Under the supervision of the Membership Director and Assistant Director, initiate new member recruitment and retention efforts, provide excellent customer care, and perform membership administrative tasks. Stay well-informed about agency and program information and share that comprehensive knowledge with members and guests to enhance the value of membership.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of the Trager Family JCC and its programs to provide excellent customer service to members and guests.
- Communicate directly with members and prospective members by telephone, email, and mail across a broad range of topics.
- Actively recruit new members through tours, telephone, and outside sales
- Process new member applications and account adjustments accurately and efficiently.
- Run regular reporting on membership metrics.
- Support retention strategy by creating strong relationships with new and long-term members.
- Review and evaluate financial aid applications for need-based scholarships.
- Be the first point of contact for member concerns and feedback.
- Process point-of-sale transactions
Qualifications: Must have excellent customer service skills, be detail-oriented, have exceptional organizational skills, be proficient in Outlook, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word, database experience and sales experience strongly preferred.

Specific Task Responsibilities
- Tours
- Answering and returning phone calls and emails related to the Membership Department and the JCL at large.
- Data entry/changes associated with membership, demographic information, and billing information stored in the member database
- Use the database to run multiple reports on different aspects of membership and billing
- Member communiques, including (but not limited to) renewal letters, transaction lists, and financial statements
- Events/Promotions/Health Fairs
- Other tasks as assigned
