Yeshivat Maharat, founded in 2009, is the first yeshiva to ordain women as Orthodox clergy in North America. By providing a credentialed pathway for women to serve as clergy, it enhances the community's ability to attract talented individuals into rabbinic leadership. The institution aims to enrich the community with diverse voices and perspectives, thereby expanding the leadership landscape within Orthodox Judaism.
