Yeshivat Maharat is a pioneering venture, founded in 2009 to be the first institution in Jewish history to train and ordain women to be fully integrated into the Orthodox community as rabbinic leaders and halakhic authorities. Yeshivat Maharat is dedicated to giving Orthodox women proficiency in learning and teaching Talmud, understanding Jewish law and its application to everyday life, as well as the pastoral skills necessary to be effective Jewish communal leaders.
