Located in Northern Manhattan on the campus of Yeshiva University, Yeshiva University High School draws its 300 students from the greater New York metropolitan area. Approximately 85% of the student body commutes; the other 15%, drawn from throughout the Americas, Europe, and Israel, lives in its campus residence hall. YUHSB is a fully accredited academic high school, grades 9 through 12, whose religious and educational philosophy mandates programs of excellence in both religious and secular academic studies. To this end, the school runs a demanding dual program of study, beginning at 8:10 a.m. with Tefillah and ending at 6:00 p.m. The teaching, guidance, and administrative staff are carefully selected from candidates who have extensive experience. A majority holds master's degrees in their subject area and more than half hold additional degrees and certifications.
