About Our School
Wilshire Boulevard Temple is a vibrant Reform Jewish congregation founded in 1862 with three locations. The East Campus (Erika J Glazer Campus) is home to the Glazer Early Childhood Center and Brawerman East Elementary School, with programming for families from Baby & Me through Grade 6. The Temple and its schools offer a tight-knit community with an emphasis on Jewish values and the pursuit of excellence.
Position Overview
The Admissions Associate plays a vital role in welcoming families into the life of the school, coordinating admissions and community-building events, and helping share the school’s story through digital platforms. The ideal candidate is warm, organized, and creative, with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for connecting people.
Key Responsibilities
Family Engagement & Admissions Support
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for prospective families.
- Respond promptly to inquiries via phone, email, and in person.
- Guide families through the admissions journey with care and clarity.
- Manage application files, communications, and scheduling for admissions processes.
- Support re-enrollment and retention initiatives.
Events Coordination
- Plan and execute admissions and community events (open houses, family programs, feeder events, etc.).
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, catering, materials, décor, and staffing.
- Partner with faculty, staff, and parent/student ambassadors to ensure a warm, mission-driven experience.
- Represent the school at local community fairs and outreach programs.
Social Media & Communications
- Create engaging content that highlights school life, values, and programs.
- Manage admissions-related posts across social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.) in partnership with the communications team.
- Capture photos, stories, and testimonials to showcase community life.
- Contribute to newsletters, admissions emails, and marketing campaigns.
Collaboration & Outreach
- Work closely with the school's administration and communications team to ensure consistent messaging.
- Support storytelling that elevates the school’s unique mission and culture.
- Participate in some evening and weekend programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Warm, professional, and approachable demeanor with strong interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong written, verbal, and digital communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
- Creative, resourceful, and able to balance multiple priorities.
- Alignment with the school’s mission and values.
Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: $55,000 to $60,000 annual salary, dependent on education and experience
