Position Description
The Director of Admissions and Enrollment Management for Wilshire Schools East is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing the strategic and operational components of enrollment management, marketing, and daily communications for our Baby & Me through Grade 6 program, located at the heart of a thriving, three-campus Temple. Reporting to the Head of School and working closely with the senior leadership team, this role drives the school’s recruitment and retention efforts, brand positioning, and internal/external communications to ensure a cohesive and compelling message about the school’s mission, vision, and values.
This is a highly visible leadership role that requires a dynamic professional who thrives at the intersection of relationship-building, strategic thinking, and hands-on execution. About Wilshire Boulevard Temple East Campus Schools
Wilshire Boulevard Temple is a vibrant Reform Jewish congregation founded in 1862 with three locations. The East Campus (Erika J Glazer Campus) is home to the Glazer Early Childhood Center and Brawerman East Elementary School, with programming for families from Baby & Me through Grade 6. The Temple and its schools offer a tight-knit community with an emphasis on Jewish values and the pursuit of excellence.
Duties and Responsibilities
Admissions & Enrollment Management
- Design, lead, and manage a comprehensive enrollment program for the Early Childhood Center and Elementary School that incorporates current best practices in recruitment, admissions, retention, record management, registration, and tuition assistance.
- Develop and implement long-term enrollment and retention strategies to ensure each division is filled with qualified, mission-appropriate students.
- Utilize data and analytics to inform recruitment strategy, evaluate conversion rates, and measure the impact of outreach initiatives.
- Serve as a warm and welcoming ambassador to prospective families, creating an authentic sense of belonging and excitement for learning.
- Establish and maintain partnerships with feeder schools, community organizations, and other relevant networks.
- Plan and implement admissions events such as open houses, divisional information sessions, applicant visit days, and new family orientations.
- Coordinate and lead campus tours for prospective families, ensuring a high-quality, personalized experience.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity in all aspects of the admissions process.
Marketing & Brand Management
- In partnership with the Head of School, develop and execute an integrated and innovative marketing strategy that promotes the school’s mission, values, programs, and culture to internal and external audiences, to increase the visibility of the School, increase in-person tours, and strengthen retention across divisions.
- In collaboration with the Communications Department, manage the school’s brand identity to ensure consistent messaging, tone, and visual presentation across all platforms.
- In collaboration with the Senior Manager of Schools Communication, lead the creation of compelling marketing collateral (print, digital, video, and social media) that highlights the school’s unique value proposition.
- Plan and manage advertising campaigns, media buys, and promotional partnerships to increase visibility and attract mission-appropriate families.
- Collaborate with faculty, students, and families to generate authentic storytelling content that showcases school life and achievements.
Communications
- Serve as the primary manager for daily school communications, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment between the early childhood center and elementary school divisions and with the schools‘ mission and values.
- Write, edit, and distribute regular newsletters, routine announcements, and updates for parents, faculty, and staff.
- In partnership with the Senior Manager of School Communications, support the content creation for the schools’ websites, ensuring it remains current, engaging, and reflective of the school community.
- Manage the school’s social media presence across platforms, developing engaging content that fosters connection and engagement, in collaboration with the Temple Social Media Manager and Senior Manager of School Communications.
- Provide support for urgent communications in collaboration with school leadership.
- Provide communications support for school events, including promotion, invitations, scripts, and post-event coverage.
- Work closely with the Head of School and Directors to prepare speeches, presentations, and public remarks for internal and external audiences.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Master’s degree preferred.
- Significant experience in independent school admissions, marketing, or communications (experience in early childhood education a plus).
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to adapt voice and tone to different audiences.
- Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools, and content management systems (experience with Blackbaud Enrollment Management preferred).
- Strong photography, videography, or visual storytelling skills are a plus.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Creative, strategic, and resourceful problem-solver with a collaborative mindset and sense of humor.
- Availability to attend events on evenings and weekends as needed.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.

Salary and Benefits
- Salary range: $85,000 to $95,000 annual salary, dependent on education and experience
