Overview:

Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS) is an award-winning, nonprofit, nonsectarian human services organization founded in 1943. Today, WJCS is the largest provider of licensed outpatient community behavioral health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. Through innovative programs and compassionate care, we serve more than 20,000 individuals of all ages and backgrounds each year.

WJCS Community Programs is seeking two dedicated Registered Nurses (RN) to provide comprehensive nursing services to individuals living in our residential programs. Working closely with the

interdisciplinary team, the RN conducts assessments, develops care plans, coordinates healthcare services, and promotes the health, safety, and well-being of each individual.

Current Openings:

  • White Plains: 30 hours per week.
  • Sleepy Hollow & Mamaroneck: 26 hours per week

Compensation:

$44.00 - $48.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
  • Coordinate routine and specialty medical evaluations, including physical, dental, vision, hearing, and other clinical services as needed.
  • Monitor individuals’ health status through regular visits and follow-up on medical recommendations.
  • Arrange laboratory testing and ensure timely healthcare interventions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, families, advocates, and healthcare providers to support optimal outcomes.
  • Administer immunizations and ensure compliance with health and immunization protocols.
  • Oversee medication administration, review MARs, and provide AMAP training and support.
  • Educate staff on medical protocols, universal precautions, and health-related procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical documentation and communicate changes in health status or treatment plans.
  • Participate in IDT meetings, nursing meetings, and clinical reviews.
  • Provide on-call support and consultation as scheduled.
  • Supervise and evaluate nursing support staff.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Current NYS Registered Nurse licensure
  • Current CPR certification
  • Experience working with individuals who are developmentally or cognitively disabled
  • Strong clinical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license preferred and ability to travel between program locations.
