Overview:

Join our Mobile Crisis Response Team (MCRT) as a Part-Time Clinician! MCRT operates out of Peekskill and Hartsdale/White Plains locations and supports Westchester County’s Project Alliance by delivering mobile crisis services in conjunction with the Northern Westchester catchment area, including Peekskill, Buchanan, Cortland, Croton-on-Hudson, Yorktown, Somers, Lewisboro and North Salem police departments and in Central Westchester with the White Plains, Greenburgh, Elmsford and Scarsdale police departments. You’ll work closely with a Peer Specialist and co-respond alongside local police, making an immediate impact in your community.

In addition to a competitive rate of $43/per hour, you will receive specialized training and ongoing supervision from Licensed Clinicians, including hours toward an LCSW. This is a non-benefitted part-time position (up to 19 hours per week).

Schedule options are as follows:

  • Saturdays 9am to 10pm
  • Some holiday coverage
  • Filling-in shifts for staff vacations and absences, ideally for both team locations.

Responsibilities:

As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

  • Collaborating closely with the Westchester County Department of Community Mental Health, 988/CNT, catchment area Police Departments to deliver services to individuals who are in mental health crisis. This includes de-escalation, assessment and referral to help clients live safely and prevent future crisis.
  • Being a part of our cohesive and collaborative teams, comprised of licensed Clinicians, Peer Specialists, student intern and administrative assistant.
  • Following-up with clients for 2-4 weeks after initial crisis response with the aim to link client to appropriate services.

Requirements:

We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:

  • Valid New York state LMSW (can work toward LCSW hours) or LMHC required. We will not interview those without a current NYS license.
  • NYS Driver’s License required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Experience with community-based services a plus.
  • Crisis intervention and response skills are beneficial.
  • Strong work ethic - must work well independently and within a team environment, plus across systems.
  • Ability to collaborate and build/foster relationships with community partners, including peers, police departments and many others.
  • Strong verbal communication and written skills.
