About Virtual Tikkun

Virtual Tikkun (www.virtualtikkun.com) is a nonprofit company whose mission is to make Torah reading and the experience of Torah accessible. Our passion, especially in these challenging times, is to ensure the continuity of Jewish culture, values, and traditions—L’dor v’dor, from generation to generation.

Virtual Tikkun takes a three-pronged approach to support clergy, educators, tutors, B’nai Mitzvah students, and adult Torah readers. The Virtual Tikkun solution includes:

  1. Virtual Tikkun Creation: Creation of custom Virtual Tikkuns using images photographed from unique handwritten Torah scrolls.

  2. Virtual Tikkun eLearning: A personalized, collaborative Torah teaching and learning application with advanced capabilities including Dynamic Flashcards, Virtual Tikkun Audio, Trope Color-Coding, and more.

  3. Virtual Tikkun Kahal: The only online peer-to-peer community dedicated to Torah learning.

Virtual Tikkun uses custom digital tikkuns (Torah learning guides) made from unique Torah scrolls to deliver personalized, collaborative Torah teaching and learning for clergy, tutors, B’nai Mitzvah students, and adult Torah readers — whether they are independent learners or members of a synagogue or other Jewish institution — to expand the Torah experience across Jewish communities and ensure the continuity of Jewish practice and values.

The Opportunity

Virtual Tikkun is seeking a hands-on, creative, and execution-focused Growth Consultant/Contractor to become our first dedicated marketing hire. This is an opportunity to break fresh ground: shape how Virtual Tikkun tells its story, identifies and reaches its audiences, tests new channels, and creates a repeatable growth engine from the ground up.

Collaborating closely with the CEO/CMO, the Growth Consultant/Contractor will help define and execute our go-to-market approach. You will have meaningful ownership of GTM strategy and day-to-day execution—from audience research, persona messaging, campaign development, and content creation to social-media engagement, conversion optimization, and performance measurement.

This is an ideal role for a resourceful builder who is energized by early-stage challenges, comfortable testing and learning quickly, and eager to make a visible impact in a mission-driven startup.

Our Target Audiences

Synagogue-based professionals: Rabbis, cantors and ritual directors. Build awareness, drive acquisition of custom Virtual Tikkuns, and create a scalable referral network.

Torah teachers and learners: Private tutors, B’nai Mitzvah students and families, and adult Torah readers. Direct discovery, drive engagement with Virtual Tikkun,  user subscriptions, retention and referrals.

What You’ll Do

Note: AI does not replace your humanity, creativity, insight, or collaboration. Experience with AI/ML-driven GTM motions, agentic workflows, or marketing and sales automation platforms is a given. However, we expect you to use AI where it makes sense and increases your productivity and efficiency—enabling you to do what you do best: create and execute high-performance GTM motions across multiple audiences and product lines.

Build Multichannel Growth Campaigns

  • Develop and execute an integrated high-growth strategy across paid and organic social, search, email, content, webinars, and relevant community channels.

  • Create differentiated messaging, offers, calls to action, and conversion journeys.

  • Plan and optimize full-funnel campaigns around the Jewish calendar.

Accelerate Adoption

  • Identify and cultivate digital venues where (a) rabbis, cantors, and ritual directors; (b) B’nai Mitzvah tutors and Jewish educators; and (c) B’nai Mitzvah students gather, share resources, and seek solutions.

  • Build outreach and referral programs that engage these personas and relevant Jewish-learning networks.

  • Launch direct-to-consumer campaigns for independent tutors, B’nai Mitzvah students and families, and adult Torah readers to drive subscriptions.

  • Develop content, offers, and conversion journeys tailored to persona needs that drive subscriber acquisition, activation, and retention.

  • Build and run a social-media strategy that combines audience-specific content, organic engagement, paid amplification, and community distribution.

Measure, Learn, and Optimize

  • Run structured experiments across audiences to assess the effectiveness of messaging, calls to action, channels, and offers; use insights to improve results and guide investment priorities.

  • Identify emerging search trends, social conversations, audience needs, and referral sources; track reach, engagement, traffic, leads, and conversion by channel.

  • Manage CRM and marketing-automation workflows for segmentation, lead capture, nurture, lifecycle communications, referral attribution, and measurement.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in growth marketing, demand generation, lifecycle marketing, digital marketing, or B2C customer acquisition—the skill set required to execute and overachieve on your objectives, and the track record to prove it.

  • Demonstrated success planning, launching, and executing multichannel campaigns.

  • Strong experience in B2C marketing for both teenagers and adults, with a knack for identifying highly productive target venues and creating campaign messaging, content, and calls to action that drive engagement.

  • An experimental mindset that uses structured testing to improve messaging, audiences, offers, creative, calls to action, landing pages, and channel mix.

  • Insightful analysis and reporting on critical metrics and attribution: traffic, leads, conversion, CAC, activation, retention, and referrals.

  • Strongly preferred: Experience working in the Jewish communal space and/or familiarity with Jewish Torah ritual practice.
