Job Overview
We are seeking a Director of Synagogue Operations to lead and oversee the comprehensive management of synagogue functions, ensuring a vibrant, efficient, and welcoming community environment. In this pivotal role, you will drive operational excellence, foster strong leadership across teams, and implement innovative strategies to support the synagogue’s mission. Your energetic approach will inspire staff and volunteers creating a seamless experience that promotes engagement, growth, and sustainability.

Responsibilities

• Manage budgets, negotiate vendor contracts, and ensure cost-effective resource allocation aligned with organizational priorities.

• Collaborate with clergy and lay leaders to enhance operational efficiency and community engagement within the synagogue.

• Lead and manage daily operations, including facilities management & security,

• Collaborate with senior leadership to establish policies, procedures, and best practices that support organizational goals.

• Support fundraising initiatives to expand community programs, membership growth, and partnership opportunities.

• Experience in a senior leadership role within a religious organization or similar community-focused environment.

• Must be a strong communicator and have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate teams and build consensus

The position is considered full time but works 4 days a week. Some evenings are required and would need to work on the High Holidays.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
