Jewish Content and Grant Writer

Valley Beit Midrash is looking for a remote, part-time Content & Grant Writer. The Content & Grant Writer will help VBM’s President – Rabbi Dr. Shmuly Yanklowitz – to develop content for podcasts, articles, and presentations. The Content & Grant Writer will also write and/or edit grant applications.

Valley Beit Midrash is a forward-thinking, pluralistic, not-for-profit organization rooted in Jewish ethics. Our mission is to improve lives in our communities through Jewish learning, social action, and leadership development.

Responsibilities:

1. Offer edits to existing written content
2. Write down and polish verbally transmitted ideas
3. Research footnotes
4. Given Torah sources, create slideshow presentations from which Rabbi Shmuly can teach
5. Write grant applications
6. Edit grant applications
7. Identify pertinent sources
8. Format footnotes

Job Details:

• $25 per hour
• Approx. 10 hours per week
• Remote
