Valley Beit Midrash seeks a full-time Operations Manager (Bachelor’s degree with several years’ relevant office and technology experience required) who is committed to our mission. Your role will be to facilitate efficient operation of day-to-day activities. As we grow and bring on additional staff, this position has the opportunity to take on higher-level responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Content Preparation and Publication - Record, edit, publish on various platforms, and archive video, written, and audio content of VBM’s lectures and interviews.
- Website Management - Update VBM website (WordPress) to reflect programming and events, maintain relationship with website service provider.
- Participant communications – Prepare and send (through MailChimp) communications to our participants informing them of upcoming events. Create promotional materials using Canva and manage social media posts.
- Donor/Supporter Database Management – Maintain and manage VBM’s donor database (Little Green Light). Write thank-you notes to donors.
- Finance – Pay bills, track/research expenses as needed, banking.
- Program Support - Prepare program materials, arrange logistics of program sessions, assist in running programs.
- Donation/Fundraising Assistance – Research grant databases for opportunities, send out Letters of Inquiry, support grant applications.
- Technology management - Administer VBM Google Suite including email accounts and shared files. Troubleshoot technology issues. Point of contact with Tech Support.
- Assistance to the President – Perform other duties as requested.

- The Operations Manager reports directly to the President/Dean of VBM, Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz. Your objective will be to ensure the smooth day-to-day functioning of VBM to enable the rabbi to focus on teaching, social activism and program expansion.
- This role can be performed remotely up to 95% of the time. Minimal travel. We are based in Phoenix, Arizona.
