About the Opportunity
UJA Federation of Greater Toronto is seeking a highly organized, relationship-driven, and community-focused Senior Coordinator, Community Mobilization to support and execute high-impact community engagement and mobilization initiatives across the Greater Toronto Jewish community.
This dynamic and highly collaborative role combines event management, volunteer engagement, donor interaction, stakeholder coordination, and operational execution to support large-scale community initiatives, engagement campaigns, advocacy efforts, leadership opportunities, and community response activities.
The successful candidate will bring strong project coordination and event management experience, exceptional interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. This is a highly visible, front-facing role requiring professionalism, initiative, relationship-building, and strong operational execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of community events, mobilization initiatives, engagement opportunities, rallies, trainings, and public-facing programs.
- Manage event logistics, including scheduling, budgeting, vendor coordination, registration, communications, materials, onsite operations, and post-event follow-up.
- Support the cultivation and stewardship of relationships with donors, volunteers, community leaders, partner organizations, and key stakeholders.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment, onboarding, scheduling, communications, recognition, and engagement activities across multiple initiatives.
- Serve as a front-facing representative of the mobilization team, communicating directly with community members, donors, volunteers, and organizational partners.
- Provide project management and operational support for community engagement campaigns, mobilization efforts, and strategic initiatives.
- Maintain accurate engagement records, reporting, event tracking, volunteer information, and campaign data using Salesforce and related systems.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to support successful execution of community initiatives and engagement opportunities.
- Support efforts that strengthen civic participation, Jewish communal engagement, volunteerism, and grassroots community involvement.
Qualifications & Experience
- Postsecondary education in Event Management, Communications, Public Relations, Community Development, Nonprofit Management, Political Science, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 3–5 years of progressive experience in event management, community engagement, volunteer coordination, nonprofit operations, fundraising support, stakeholder engagement, or related fields.
- Passionate advocate and visible champion of UJA’s mission, values, and goals, inspiring others through action and unwavering commitment to advancing our shared purpose
- Demonstrated experience planning and executing events, community initiatives, volunteer programs, campaigns, or engagement activities from concept through execution.
- Strong experience coordinating logistics, vendors, budgets, timelines, communications, and onsite event operations.
- Experience recruiting, engaging, and coordinating volunteers, community members, donors, or stakeholders.
- Exceptional organizational, coordination, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.
- Strong relationship-building and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage professionally with donors, volunteers, community leaders, and partner organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
- Experience using Salesforce, CRM systems, reporting platforms, and engagement databases is considered an asset.
- Passion for Jewish communal life, volunteerism, civic participation, and community engagement.
*This is a full-time permanent position, Union Level 3. Salary Range: $60,000–$70,000 annually, based on experience.
