About the Opportunity

This position is part of the UJA Donor Services Team, responsible for the timely fulfillment of Tribute Card orders for UJA Federation of Greater Toronto business units and assisting with other UJA Campaign tasks. Tribute Cards enable people to donate to UJA in support of our programs/partners and have a physical or e-card sent out on their behalf in memory or in honour, or for Jewish holidays. This is a growing segment of UJA fundraising. The position is also responsible for Executive Floor Reception.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Tribute Cards – In Memory, In Honour, Jewish Holidays
    • Coordinate with an integrated team of Marketing/Creative to update card images and text annually
    • Develop a workflow document with key deadlines for materials, promotion, delivery for Holiday cards
    • Monitor web order pages for possible text changes/adjustments
    • Answer Tribute Card line and take orders
    • Review Holiday card lists with donors
    • Process orders from web pages, phone, and email
    • Fulfill and send e-cards
    • Coordinate with in-house print centre on printing and mailing of physical cards
    • Data entry and payment processing
    • Send out tax receipts for Tribute Cards
    • Follow up on donor inquiries
    • Reconciliation, adjustments, and reporting
  • Obituaries and Prominent Passings
    • Review Benjamins, Steeles Memorial and other funeral home websites
    • Mark donors as Deceased in Salesforce
    • Resolve or write-off outstanding pledges
    • Send Condolence Card from Adam Minsky
    • Advise Donor Managers of passings
    • Review obituary and update Salesforce with family relationships
    • Draft an announcement to layleader email list and to UJA staff
    • Participate in Weekend Obit team for weekend distribution of Prominent Passings notices

*This is a full-time permanent position, Union Level 2.
