The Tucson J seeks a Tennis Professional for the six hard-court Sarver Tennis Center (STC), part of the Wellness Department + Experience Team. Maintain safety and order; greet customers warmly; collaborate with other professionals. Location: Tucson Jewish Community Center, 3800 E River Road, Tucson, AZ 85718. Schedule: Sun–Fri, daytime/evening; max 29 hrs/week; ability to cover vacation/sick callouts appreciated; consistent weekly clinic schedule with growth opportunities; private lessons and booking managed by instructor. Duties: deep knowledge/experience playing and teaching tennis; enforce facility rules; tennis programming; coordinate with STC Front Desk Admin; use court reservation system; offer instruction (groups, clinics, private/semi-private); follow session plans/program structure; attend meetings; promote facility; participate in STC Socials. Required: USTA 4.5+; collegiate or high-level HS playing experience; strong team player; admin/computer skills; excellent customer service; strong work ethic/initiative; USTA Safe Play; CPR/AED; teaching certification (USTA, RSPA, PTR, ITF) current or within 6 months. Preferred: Bachelor’s; 3+ years as tennis pro and/or coaching at collegiate/high level, or ATP/WTA/ITA experience. Compensation: Clinics starting $25/hr (approx. 10–15 hrs/week); private lessons commission-based starting at $45/hr; admin work as needed.
