Overview

Touro University’s Lander College for Men is hiring Economics Adjunct Professors to teach undergraduate courses within the discipline. This includes developing and delivering course syllabi, lectures, and assignments; grading student work; and providing office hours and other support to students.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develop and deliver course syllabi, lectures, and assignments that are aligned with the department's curriculum and meet the needs of students.
  • Grade student work promptly and provide feedback as necessary.
  • Meet with students during regularly scheduled office hours and other scheduled times to provide support and guidance.
  • Keep up-to-date on the latest developments within discipline and incorporate them into teaching materials.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where students are comfortable participating and learning.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • A Master’s degree or higher in relevant academic field required.
  • Previous college-level teaching experience strongly preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong commitment to teaching excellence.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge base within academic field; ability to keep up to date with advancements in field of study.

Maximum Salary

USD $4,080.00/Course

Minimum Salary

USD $3,600.00/Course
