Overview
Touro College of Dental Medicine is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Laboratory Assistant to join our team. The Lab Assistant will manage the receipt, organization, accounting, and distribution of all supplies and materials needed for the Touro College of Dental Medicine Pre-Clinic. They will utilize the Axium practice management system, or other selected software to record, maintain, and update the school's and clinics inventory records. In doing so, they will work with the Director of Clinical Operations and the Director of Pre-Clinical Operations.
Responsibilities
- Physically maintain inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment for the TCDM and TDH, in the SIM Lab located on the fourth floor of the Skyline building.
- Organize and maintain the designated Inventory Management system for materials, supplies, and equipment, receiving training, producing reports, and creating orders to be placed as needed.
- Perform duties as assigned by the Director of Pre-Clinical Operations and the Vice Dean of Clinical Operations.
- Produce reports, and schedule monthly meetings with the Director of Pre-Clinical Operations and the Vice Dean of Clinical Operations.
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Some experience in a dental lab setting required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Knowledge of dental anatomy, materials, and processes.
- Experience with digital dental technology (CAD/CAM) is a plus.
- Strong manual dexterity and visual accuracy.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions precisely.
Working Conditions
- Exposure to dust, heat from ovens, and chemicals used in processing dental materials.
