Overview

To transport instrumentation, supplies and goods to and from various clinics and other locations on campus, safely and comfortably. Pick up and deliver materials and/or equipment, as needed. Maintain a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support while transporting to areas throughout the school, conducting yourself in a courteous manner and responding to needs and inquiries politely and promptly. Go above and beyond for patients, deliver superior customer service, and ensure their comfort and safety at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Receives and carries out transport assignments
  • Coordinates selection of instruments, supplies, or equipment with end users
  • Transports equipment to and from all locations within the building in a timely manner
  • Inspects transport equipment for cleanliness, operational ability, and safety
  • Removes damaged equipment from use and notifies management
  • Inspects and wipes down equipment before and after each use with approved cleaning products
  • Assists dental/medical staff in lifting and moving of equipment to and from, and using proper body mechanics
  • Safely handles oxygen equipment and other dental/medical equipment according to school policies and procedures
  • Distinguishes between types of compressed gases and valves changes
  • Performs rounds including picking up freight deliveries, patient belongings, vouchers, charts, equipment, instrument and trays, as assigned
  • Delivers and returns equipment, instruments and trays to/from Central Processing and patient care areas
  • Follows school patient identification policy at all times

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma/GED Eqvlnt required.
  • Some previous experience in customer service is desirable.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated proficiency in communication (written and verbal) required
  • Strong attention to details required
  • Effectively manage and organize daily tasks, independently and with a team, while balancing multiple projects and meeting deadlines required
  • Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks required
  • Customer service and team orientated required
  • Demonstrated ability to develop positive and cooperative relationships with students, faculty, and colleagues required
  • Experience in dental instrumentation and equipment

    Working Conditions

    • Pushing case cart with instrumentation weighing up to 200 lbs.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

    Maximum Salary

    USD $58,373.00/Yr.

    Minimum Salary

    USD $46,697.00/Yr.
