Overview
The Graduate School of Technology (GST) seeks an experienced Director of Enrollment and Student Services to provide 50% FTE leadership for recruitment, enrollment management, and student services. The Director will supervise two Directors of Recruitment and the Assistant Director of Student Services, ensuring that the team's work is coordinated, accountable, data-informed, and student-centered. This is a management and supervisory role. The Director will set priorities, monitor performance, review data, coordinate handoffs, and strengthen the integration of recruitment and student services; day-to-day execution will be carried out by the appropriate team members. Working with admissions, marketing, academic leadership, university offices, and external partners, the Director will support effective recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, student support, CRM use, reporting, and process improvement.
Responsibilities
Recruitment Operations Management
- Oversee GST's enrollment function, including domestic and international recruitment, applicant development, pipeline management, and yield activities
- Supervise the two Directors of Recruitment and hold them accountable for execution of recruitment plans
- Review pipelines, conversion data, follow-up practices, and recruitment priorities
- Provide oversight for recruitment campaigns, information sessions, outreach, events, and partner-based recruitment
- Identify bottlenecks, opportunities, and process improvements that support enrollment growth
Student Services Oversight
- Supervise the Assistant Director of Student Services and oversee student-facing support after enrollment
- Set expectations for onboarding, registration support, student communications, issue resolution, and retention-support activities
- Ensure effective handoffs among recruitment, admissions, student services, academic programs, and university offices
- Review student service workflows and guide improvements in responsiveness, clarity, consistency, and service quality
Staff Leadership
- Manage and supervise the Enrollment and Student Services team
- Provide regular coaching, feedback, and professional guidance
- Establish priorities, expectations, and accountability structures
- Monitor productivity, responsiveness, service quality, and results
- Analytics, Reporting, CRM, and Student Data
- Define and review key enrollment, conversion, onboarding, retention-support, and service metrics
- Review dashboards, reports, CRM data, and student service data to assess performance and identify issues
- Ensure that records are accurate, complete, and useful for decision-making
- Prepare or review concise reports and recommendations for GST leadership
Enrollment Strategy, Student Experience, and Process Improvement
- Work with GST leadership to set enrollment and student experience priorities
- Use enrollment trends, applicant behavior, pipeline data, and student service patterns to inform planning
- Guide improvements to recruitment, admissions, onboarding, and student support processes
- Support adoption of systems, tools, and best practices that strengthen enrollment operations and student services
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Align recruitment and student services work with admissions, marketing, academic departments, university offices, and external partners
- Coordinate communication and workflow across recruitment, enrollment, onboarding, and student services
- Support priority special projects and compliance needs related to enrollment and student services
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Required
- Bachelor's degree in a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
- Experience in enrollment management, admissions, recruitment, student services, marketing operations, or related roles.
- Demonstrated experience supervising staff, managing team performance, and leading student-facing operations.
- Experience with CRM systems, data management, reporting, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, project management, supervisory, and communication skills.
- Preferred
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Experience in graduate or adult-serving higher education.
- Familiarity with F-1 student enrollment and international student onboarding.
- Experience with CRM platforms such as Slate, Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar systems.
- Demonstrated success meeting enrollment objectives through planning, process improvement, and team leadership.
- Experience in a part-time, fractional, or flexible leadership role.
- Knowledge of international student recruitment, enrollment practices, or external recruitment partnerships.
