Overview

The Graduate School of Technology (GST) invites applications for a part-time Adjunct Career Readiness Instructor to facilitate the Level 2 Career Readiness Program for domestic and international graduate students. This required, non-credit-bearing program is a key component of GST's student success strategy and prepares students for internships and professional employment opportunities through advanced career development instruction and coaching.

The program builds upon foundational career readiness skills and focuses on advanced job search strategies, interview preparation, application execution, and professional branding. The instructor will deliver three workshop topics across twelve virtual sessions during an intensive three-week period, while providing individualized coaching and feedback to support student career outcomes.

GST is seeking an engaging career development professional who combines real-world hiring, recruiting, or workforce development expertise with strong virtual facilitation skills and a passion for helping graduate students succeed in today's competitive job market.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality interactive virtual instruction, using Zoom and related technologies.
  • Facilitate discussions, breakout activities, mock interviews, application workshops, and career coaching exercises.
  • Provide individualized coaching and feedback on resumes, interviewing, portfolio presentations, networking strategies, and job search execution.
  • Foster student engagement and participation in a virtual learning environment.
  • Review assignments and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Track attendance, participation, and completion of required program activities.
  • Assess student progress toward program learning outcomes.
  • Prepare summary reports and program feedback documentation as requested.
  • Collaborate with GST staff to support program outcomes and continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Required:
    • Master's degree or higher in a related discipline.
    • Professional experience in career services, recruiting, talent acquisition, human resources, workforce development, or related fields.
    • Demonstrated success coaching students, job seekers, or professionals toward employment outcomes.
    • Experience conducting career readiness workshops, professional development training, workforce preparation programs, or similar educational initiatives.
    • Prior online teaching, training, coaching, or facilitation experience.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Zoom and virtual learning technologies.
  • Preferred:
    • Experience working with graduate-level students.
    • Knowledge of ATS platforms, recruiting technologies, and AI-assisted job search tools.
    • Familiarity with the employment challenges and career development needs of international students.
    • Knowledge of networking strategies, employer outreach practices, and U.S. job market expectations for international students.

USD $5,000.00/Course
