Overview
The Digital Multimedia Design (DMD) program is seeking adjunct faculty to teach undergraduate courses in Adobe Creative Suite applications, digital design theory, and integration of AI into creative projects. Instruction will be delivered in person across the University’s LAS campuses, including Avenue J and Lander College for Women.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Teach a minimum of one undergraduate-level course in web or digital multimedia design.
- Prepare and maintain course materials, including syllabi, assignments, handouts, and instructional resources.
- Be prompt and develop and update curriculum that aligns with program and industry standards.
- Evaluate student learning through grading, assessments, and timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate and timely records of student attendance, grades, and academic progress.
- Foster an inclusive, student-centered learning environment that supports diverse learning needs and promotes academic success.
- Provide appropriate academic guidance and referrals to campus support resources when needed.
- Maintain the academic integrity and standards of Touro University.
- Participate in departmental activities and contribute to the academic mission of the department.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Master’s degree required.
- Previous collegiate teaching experience preferred.
- Two years of prior teaching experience preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook
- Ability to work with MacOS and Windows.
- Familiarity with web development frameworks like Bootstrap or Materialize is preferred.
- Knowledge of WordPress and other content management applications preferred.
- Solid understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite applications, digital design theory, and integration of AI into creative projects.
- Ability to teach in person at Touro’s campuses in Brooklyn and/or Manhattan
- Ability to teach day and evening courses

USD $7,000.00/Course

USD $6,000.00/Course
