Overview

The Touro University Doctor of Physical Therapy Program on the Long Island Campus is seeking an adjunct faculty to teach Physiology to our future physical therapists. Applicants with expertise in Physiology and Exercise physiology are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare for and teach courses within area of expertise as assigned for the semester hired
  • Design class lectures, activities, and assignments that meet the course objectives and syllabus requirement
  • Create examinations to evaluate student knowledge
  • Utilize Canvas, our learning management system, to post materials and enhance course content
  • Grade assignments within the course, and submit course grades at the completion of the course
  • Meet with students, as needed, to provide support and guidance
  • Attend meetings with Program Director as requested or as needed

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Master's degree in Physiology or related field, or DPT degree with expertise in Physiology
  • Strong communication skills and inter-personal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Power Point, & Outlook.
  • Preferred qualifications include: Prior Teaching experience & knowledge of Physical Therapist Education requirements

Maximum Salary

USD $100.00/Hr.

Minimum Salary

USD $60.00/Hr.
