Overview

Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking a new full-time faculty member (open rank) for the Physical Diagnosis/Early Clinical Experience position at our Montana campus. TouroCOM Montana, located in Great Falls, MT, remains dedicated to its mission of academic excellence and innovation in medical education, serving a diverse student body adjacent to the Rocky Mountain front and between Yellowstone and Glacier National Parks.


The ideal candidate will bring experience in teaching Physical Diagnosis and facilitating Early Clinical Experiences and will be enthusiastic about mentoring medical students as they progress through the curriculum. Prior research experience and a commitment to scholarly activity are highly valued. TouroCOM Montana continues to prioritize teaching excellence and research engagement, expecting faculty to remain active in their professional fields. Our campus enrolls 125 students annually and features state-of-the-art facilities, including an anatomy lab, simulation center, and collaborative research opportunities with the Weissman Hood Institute. We remain closely connected with our Harlem and Middletown campuses, fostering a unified academic community.


The appointed faculty member will assume responsibilities in course instruction, curriculum development, administration, and student supervision, continuing the collaborative work with colleagues across all TouroCOM campuses.

Responsibilities

The new Physical Diagnosis/Early Clinical Experience faculty member will collaborate with existing faculty at the Great Falls, Harlem, and Middletown campuses in all aspects of curriculum development, delivery, and assessment. Commitment to outstanding teaching is essential, as is active participation in committee work and the pursuit of scholarly and research activities that support both student and institutional success.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Applicants must possess a D.O. or M.D. degree.
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate the potential for exceptional teaching at the medical school or graduate level in the areas mentioned in the job responsibilities section, demonstrate potential for research, and work well with the rest of faculty team.

Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities

  • The ideal candidate will be a clear communicator, have relevant content and clinical expertise, and have a passion for teaching osteopathic principles and techniques at the undergraduate medical education level.

Computer Skills

  • Basic computer skills supporting the proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel) as well as software used to prepare written exams and Learning Management Systems.

Travel

  • Travel to professional academic conferences, as approved by the Department Chair.
