Overview
Touro University Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center is pleased to announce that it is currently seeking applicants for both full-year and semester long Visiting Professor positions for the 2026-2027 academic year. The law school has a number of curricular needs but is especially interested in candidates specializing in Business Organizations and Civil Dispute Resolution and Procedure. Visiting faculty members are responsible for teaching and assessing law students in a subject matter of law in which they have prior teaching experience.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Prepare and teach graduate-level law student courses in a physical classroom and/or a virtual classroom as assigned and scheduled by the Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
- Prepare course materials such as syllabi, assessments, final examinations, assignments, and handouts
- Timely grade student assessments, exams, assignments, etc., and provide meaningful feedback to students
- Maintain regularly scheduled office hours in order to advise and assist students
- Maintain accurate student records
- Maintain a regular physical presence at the Law Center
- Stay informed of changes in the law and remain current in recent statutory changes and case law developments
- Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues
- Engage in the intellectual life of the Law Center
- Other duties as assigned by the Dean and/or Associate Dean for Academic Affairs
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an ABA accredited law school required.
- Prior teaching experience of the subject(s)

- Proficiency in or ability to become proficient in using Canvas, learning management system
- Knowledge of Zoom and other online communication tools
Travel
- Travel for conferences and professional development
