Overview

The Assistant Director of Admissions will assist the Assistant Dean for Admissions in managing and overseeing the daily operations of the Touro Law Center's Admissions Office. This includes assisting with administrative duties, promoting Touro Law Center, admissions counseling, and recruiting law students.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Coordinates and attends recruitment events/law school/graduate school fairs and LSAC forums
  • Cultivates relations with pre-law advisors
  • Visits and holds law school information sessions at local feeder schools, and organizes campus tours for students from those schools (post-pandemic)
  • Coordinates all aspects of on-campus and/or virtual outreach events such as open houses, information sessions, and accepted students events
  • Counsels, corresponds, and meets with prospective and admitted students
  • Manages the Student Ambassador Program
  • Oversees work-study students schedules and assign tasks accordingly
  • Contacts and follows up Wufoo leads
  • Assists with initial review of assigned groups of the law school applications
  • Collaborates with the marketing department in developing publications (e.g. viewbook)
  • Maintains the Admissions silo on the website and the Accepted Students Portal
  • Other administrative duties as required

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree required, J.D. preferred
  • College or Graduate admissions experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Accuracy and productivity in completing tasks
  • Ability to solve problems and meet deadlines
  • Team-oriented with a student service approach
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, & Outlook

Travel

  • Travel to Recruiting events
  • Other travel as assigned by the Assistant Dean for Admissions

Working Conditions

  • Extensive Use of Computers
  • Extensive time sitting and standing
  • Able to lift up to 5 lbs.

Maximum Salary

USD $70,486.00/Yr.

Minimum Salary

USD $56,388.00/Yr.
