Overview
Clinic Coordinators are a crucial component to our clinical staff, but their roles can vary in breadth depending on our clinical practice and the amount of work our Clinical Administration and DPM's choose to give them. Acts as liaison between clinic patients and the podiatric, medical, and social services.
Responsibilities
- Direct, greet, and refers patients to appropriate clinic to assure smooth patient flow
- Maintains accurate patient appointment books based on staff schedules
- Insurance verification & eligibility
- Collect copay & balances
- Make appointments and referral to other clinics as directed by clinicians
- Verifies authenticity of patients' third-party healthcare payers
- Initiates, processes, and assures encounter forms contain all required information
- Enter billing information from encounter forms to billing system
- Coordinates with new and subsequent appointments authorized by clinicians
- Forwards “No Show” charts to clinicians and documents in chart action taken Perform patient call backs & appointment verification
- Perform administrative tasks or coverage as may be required
- Initiates orders to ensure adequate levels of supplies are available for respective clinics
- Maintain safe working area at all times
- Follow all federal, state, and city regulatory policies & procedures
Qualifications
Education/Experience
- High School Education or equivalent.
- Minimum one year experience in dealing with general public in medical office preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Excellent oral phone communication skills to be able to communicate with patients and staff.
- Organization skills
- Familiar with Microsoft Office
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- ECW (E-Clinic work) preferred.
- Obtain appropriate authorization & signature
Maximum Salary
USD $35,113.00/Yr.
Minimum Salary
USD $31,317.00/Yr.
