Third Space at Shaarei Tfiloh will be a place for gathering and a gateway to meaningful Jewish engagement and community, grounded in Jewish culture and learning. We are dedicated to building a welcoming and caring community that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. We can be a stop along the way in someone’s Jewish journey, a space to be utilized for meaningful community building - both local and Jewish, and a container for creativity, collaboration, exploration and discovery. We are housed within Shaarei Tfiloh Synagogue, a historic synagogue located in Druid Hill Park in Baltimore that is no longer functioning as an active congregation. Constructed from 1921, it is one of the oldest synagogue buildings in Maryland. We hope to serve as a hub for learning, connecting and building community.
