Job Title: Communications and Marketing Professional

The Negev Foundation is seeking a dynamic Communications and Marketing Professional to shape and share our story. This is a unique opportunity to elevate the visibility of a mission-driven nonprofit that funds transformative agricultural, economic, cultural, and educational projects in Israel’s Negev region.

We are open to hiring either one full-time or one part-time employee and are flexible with in-person or remote work arrangements.

> Please note: Benefits vary by employment status and location. Full- or part-time employees working in-person at our Cleveland office are eligible for our full benefits package. Remote employees will receive adjusted benefits based on their employment agreement.

About Us: The Negev Foundation, a non-profit organization, supports the development of Israel's Negev desert communities by funding Agriculture research, quality-of-life, capital projects for agricultural research, and economic, cultural, social, and educational organizations in the Negev.

The Communications and Marketing Professional will develop and execute communication strategies that enhance our Foundation’s visibility and support fundraising efforts. This role requires creativity, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills to convey our mission and impact to diverse audiences effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Creation:

  • Create compelling and mission-aligned content for various platforms, including websites, blogs, social media, newsletters, and press releases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to produce high-quality multimedia content (videos, graphics, infographics).
  • Ensure all content reflects the organization’s voice, values, and messaging.

Digital Marketing:

  • Manage the organization’s online presence, including website, social media, email marketing campaigns, and podcast content.
  • Optimize digital marketing efforts through SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies.
  • Analyze digital metrics and performance data to improve campaign effectiveness and reach.

Strategic Planning and Execution:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies to advance the nonprofit’s mission and goals.
  • Conduct audience research to identify key demographics, community needs, and engagement opportunities.
  • Plan and manage marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, print, and events.

Graphic Design and Visual Content Creation:

  • Use design tools like Canva or similar to create visual assets for marketing materials, ensuring brand consistency.
  • Create branded assets (e.g., social media posts, infographics, banners) that align with the organization’s visual identity, ensuring consistency across all marketing materials.
  • Prepare marketing material for communicating with donors and stakeholders.o Aide in preparing materials for conferences and other events.

Public Relations:

  • Develop relationships with media outlets, community leaders, and key stakeholders.
  • Write and distribute press releases and coordinate media coverage.
  • Organize and manage press events, community outreach, and other Public Relations initiatives.

Analytics and Reporting:

  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance using key metrics and tools.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on marketing activities and results.
  • Use insights from data analysis to inform future marketing strategies and initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, communications, or a similar role, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, social media, and content creation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Creative thinker with the ability to generate innovative ideas.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO, and email marketing platforms).
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to perform additional duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Jewish and pro-Israel non-profit sector.
  • Familiarity with graphic design and video production tools.
  • Experience with content management systems (CMS) and customer relationship management (CRM) software, such as HubSpot, GiftWorks or other CRM software.
  • Experience using Artificial Intelligence to aid efficiency.

Salary and Benefits:

  • Part-time (20–25 hrs/wk): $30,000–$40,000
  • Full-time: $50,000–$60,000
  • Compensation may grow based on fundraising and communications outcomes
