Pay: $167 per day

The Leffell School is a cutting-edge K-12 Jewish independent school serving approximately 850 students on two campuses in Westchester County, NY, 30 minutes north of New York City. We emphasize academic excellence, Jewish values, and a strong sense of community.

The Leffell School Athletics Department is seeking a temporary Physical Education Teacher for the Middle and High School (grades 6-12) to work from the end of November to the end of December.

The ideal candidate will have:

• A Physical Education Certification

• Experience working with middle and high school students in both physical education and health

• The ability to create and maintain positive relationships with middle and high school students

• Willingness to work collaboratively as a team and participate in the overall life of our school community

• The ability to communicate with students and school staff

• The ability to create dynamic lessons that engage students in the active exploration of a variety of sports and self-care activities, with the ultimate goal of developing lasting health and fitness habits
