What you'll be doing:

Under general supervision of designated Property or Building Manager, responsible for maintenance, good order and cleanliness of physical plant, equipment, and storage areas of the designated facility.

Essential job functions:

  • Performs routine repairs to building and equipment including more difficult repairs requiring skills beyond the "handy-man" category.
  • Performs all necessary maintenance tasks required to keep facilities neat, clean, and in orderly condition.
  • Directs the work of assistants as appropriate in the performance of varied maintenance tasks.
  • Assists in making arrangements and preparing specifications for outside service contractors for complicated and highly technical repairs.
  • Assists in maintaining safe operating and working conditions complying with requirements of inspection reports from insurance carriers or consultants.
  • Provides input and recommendations relevant to changes and improvements in the physical building including remodeling, refurnishing, or decorating.
  • Performs other related tasks as assigned.

Job Location: Chicago, IL

Compensation: $24.93/Hour

Job Qualifications:

  • High school graduate.
  • Building maintenance experience required.

Shift Hours:

  • Monday - Friday 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
