The salary range for this role is $46,000-$49,000.
What you’ll be responsible for:
As part of the JUF Events Department, you will be responsible for the successful execution of JUF’s extensive calendar of events, managing a portfolio of in person and virtual events.
What you’ll be doing:
- Develop, plan, and execute JUF events, in coordination with the department lead staff of the event.
- Handle the logistics, staffing, scheduling, catering, staging, branding, signage, and audio/visual needs for all events.
- Manage event budgets and document/record all expenses.
- Research, develop, and maintain relationships with off-site event venues/locations, catering, and production vendors.
- Organize and lead site visits.
- Organize and lead pre-event catering tastings.
- Coordinate all event details with department lead staff.
- Support JUF Campaign and mandatory campaign-related activities on an ongoing basis.
What you need to succeed:
- Required:
- 1-3 years event planning experience.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills and ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with colleagues under pressure.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite of Products.
- Preferred:
- Experience with virtual event best practices.
- Knowledge of Jewish community, culture, heritage, traditions, and Jewish Communal Services.
