Join Our Mission-Driven Team as a Financial Resource Development Associate!

Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in your community? Do you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment where relationship-building, research, and operational excellence come together to drive philanthropic success? If so, we want you on our team!

As Development Associate, Donor Engagement, you’ll play a pivotal role in fueling our fundraising efforts and strengthening our community campaigns. This is more than just a support role—it’s an opportunity to take ownership of helping cultivate relationships that drive lasting impact.

We’re looking for a proactive team player with a keen eye for detail, a passion for philanthropy, and the ability to communicate effectively with donors, colleagues, and community leaders. If you’re ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute to a mission-driven organization, this role is for you!

Key Responsibilities:

- Driving Fundraising Success: Support Financial Resource Development (FRD) fundraising initiatives and community campaigns by delivering exceptional donor service and ensuring seamless execution of fundraising and engagement efforts aligned with revenue goals.

- Executing Donor Stewardship: Coordinate and deliver donor stewardship activities—including thank‑you and welcome outreach, weekly touchpoints, birthday outreach, affinity group recognition and reporting, and FRD calendar management—to strengthen relationships and increase giving.

- Donor Solicitation & Engagement: Personally solicit community donors ($1000 or less) throughout the year, building meaningful relationships that inspire sustained philanthropic support.

- Event Planning & Community Engagement: Plan and execute donor and community events end‑to‑end, managing logistics, vendors, venues, guest communications, registrations, and onsite execution in collaboration with lay leaders and internal teams.

- Data & Operations Leadership: Serve as a donor data and CRM expert by maintaining accurate records, tracking engagement, supporting direct marketing efforts, generating strategic reports, and managing operational tasks such as calendars, expenses, and event logistics.

What You Need to Succeed in This Role:

- Highly organized, detail‑oriented problem‑solver who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and can manage multiple priorities with sound judgment.

- Strong systems and process‑builder who enjoys creating structures that supports fundraising and operational success.

- Skilled relationship‑builder with excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑oriented mindset.

- Comfortable working independently and under pressure while consistently delivering high‑quality work.

- Experience with donor databases or CRM systems—or a strong willingness to learn—and an interest in using data to support effective fundraising strategies.

- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and open to learning and adopting new technologies.

- Mission‑driven professional with a commitment to The Jewish Federation; knowledge of the Jewish community, its customs, and practices is preferred.

- A bachelor’s degree is required.
