The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) consist of 141 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. Position Summary

The DC office of the Jewish Federations of North America is seeking a summer intern in the Communications Department.

The successful candidate will be a talented writer and a meticulous proofreader. Duties will include writing and editing press releases, drafting op-eds for mainstream and Jewish media, interviewing, composing talking points for speeches, and doing occasional social media posts. There will also be opportunities to work with our public policy team to advance the priorities of the Jewish community on safety and security, care for Holocaust survivors, and other issues.

The position is a fulltime, 40-hour a week position, for eight weeks. This is a paid internship opportunity. Interns will be paid at an hourly rate based on DC minimum wage laws.

Position is in-person Monday – Thursday in the Jewish Federations of North America's Public Affairs Flagship Office in downtown Washington DC, and fully remote on Fridays.
