POSITION TITLE: Power Platform Developer (CMS Systems)

OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced Power Platform Developer with 5–8 years of hands-on experience in Power Platform technologies (Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI), as well as strong SQL development skills. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in designing, developing, and supporting business-critical solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, including workflow automation, data visualization, and low-code web applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, business analysts, project managers, and end users to deliver scalable, secure, and innovative solutions for our Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM and related business processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Design, develop, test, document, deploy, and support solutions using Power Platform tools:
- Power Automate: Build and optimize automated workflows to streamline business processes and integrate with internal and external systems.
- Power Pages: Develop and maintain secure, scalable, low-code web portals for internal and external stakeholders.
- Power BI: Create and maintain interactive dashboards and reports, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and actionable insights for business users.
- Power Apps: Development and enhancement of model driven apps and canvas apps.
- SQL Development & Database Management:
- Write complex queries, stored procedures, and perform data modeling to support Power Platform solutions and reporting needs.
- Perform SQL database restores, including coordination with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of required files. Utilize tools such as Filezilla (for SFTP), Fortclient VPN, Remote Desktop Connection, SQL Server Management Studio, and Azure Storage Explorer for database restore operations.
- Maintain documentation for restore procedures.
- Data Integration & Pipeline Management:
- Integrate Power Platform solutions with Microsoft Dataverse, SQL Server, SharePoint, and third-party APIs.
- Run and troubleshoot Azure Data Factory (ADF) pipelines for data loading and transformation, collaborating with team members to resolve errors and document solutions.
- Coordinate with colleagues on active tasks and initiatives, including creation and management of Translation Tables and master data management.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Workflows:
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with team members on ongoing issues, troubleshooting errors across ADO, ADF, SQL, TT, and Power Platform. Coordinate on EV JSON file creation and ADF infrastructure setup, and document issues ahead of meetings.
- Participate in weekly task planning and training sessions for team members on TT, master data, ADF, and related topics.
- Support and Training:
- Provide technical support and training to end users and team members on Power Platform tools, SQL restore processes, and data integration workflows.
- Documentation:
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for solutions, processes, workflows, and troubleshooting guides.
- Troubleshooting:
- Diagnose and resolve issues across Power Platform applications, ADF pipelines, SQL restores, and data integrations, working independently or collaboratively as needed.
- Application Lifecycle Management:
- Participate in solution management, deployment, and enhancement processes following best practices for ALM in Power Platform environments, ensuring smooth handoffs and task assignments within the team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years of experience in Power Platform development (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI).
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data modeling, integration, and database restore operations.
- Experience with Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, REST APIs, and Azure Data Factory.
- Solid understanding of data integration, ETL processes, and data transformation.
- Experience with business intelligence, data visualization, and report development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript for customizations and solution enhancements.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong problem analysis and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- CRM experience is ideal; Microsoft Dynamics CRM experience is a plus.
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience with Azure services, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems (Git, Azure DevOps).
- Exposure to Customer Insights Journeys module.
- Microsoft certifications such as MB-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant) or MB-400 (Power Apps + Dynamics 365 Developer).
- Familiarity with security models, role-based access, and governance in Power Platform.
- Knowledge of financial application development, fundraising, or CRM systems.
- Experience with Excel macros (VB code) and advanced data formatting.
- Database administration (backups, maintenance, performance tuning).
- Experience maintaining documentation platforms (e.g., Fogbugz) for technical procedures.
CERTIFICATIONS:
- MB-200 (Power Platform Functional Consultant) preferred
- MB-400 (Power Apps + Dynamics 365 Developer) preferred
LOCATION:
- The role may be fully remote or hybrid depending on proximity to our offices in New York City and Washington DC.

Salary range, based on skills and experience - $80,000-$90,000
