OVERVIEW:
The Information Technology department is looking for a strategic, experienced, creative, and entrepreneurial individual to join our team of CRM professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CRM implementation and migration, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics and a proven track record of successful platform management. They should be able to work effectively in a team environment, possess excellent communication skills, and be committed to continuous learning and improvement in the field of CRM and the Microsoft ecosystem.
The Manager, Microsoft Dynamics CRM Applications is responsible for the technical stewardship and implementation of the JFNA Dynamics 365 CRM platform, which is a custom, managed package solution serving 40+ of our member Federations. Reporting to the Senior Director who oversees the CRM Collective, this role manages the Power Platform Developer and leads the prioritization and execution of roadmap development, ensuring that technical solutions align with the needs of participating Federations. The role focuses on data migration, integration, and process improvement, driving the evolution of the CRM platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Technical Stewardship & Implementation:
Oversee the technical health, configuration, and ongoing improvement of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM platform. Ensure all customizations, integrations, and upgrades are executed according to best practices and organizational requirements. - Roadmap Development & Prioritization:
Steward the development roadmap for CRM enhancements, working closely with the Senior Director and participating Federations to determine priorities and resource allocation. - Power Platform Developer Management:
Directly manage the Power Platform Developer, providing guidance, support, and oversight for solutions built with Power Automate, Power Pages, Power BI, and related technologies. - Data Migration & ADF Pipeline Management:
Lead end-to-end data migration processes from legacy systems to Microsoft Dynamics 365 CRM, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and alignment with business requirements. Maintain and update data flows mapping legacy systems (primarily Blackbaud CRM) to Dynamics entities using Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure SQL, Dataverse APIs, and other tools. - Release & Project Management:
Manage the customization queue, development, testing, and release notes. Coordinate resource allocation and reprioritization based on feedback from stakeholders. - Documentation & Governance:
Create and maintain documentation for data migration processes, pipeline architecture, and operational runbooks. Implement data governance and security best practices across Azure and Dynamics environments. - Stakeholder Engagement:
Collaborate with Dynamics functional consultants to understand data models, entity relationships, and migration sequencing. Support multiple migration waves (mock runs, cutover, post go-live) and coordinate with cross-functional teams for smooth execution. - Continuous Improvement:
Lead exploration and implementation of business process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the Dynamics 365 CRM environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 4-6 years of experience with CRM systems and implementations, with a demonstrated understanding of data structures and relational databases
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL, Azure Storage, and related Azure data services, including configuration, customization and user management
- Strong understanding of Dynamics 365 data structures, Dataverse, and entity mapping.
- Experience with ETL/ELT tools, data modeling, and data quality frameworks.
- Detail-oriented data management skills, including the ability to analyze complex data sets and resolve data inconsistencies along with experience with data quality best practices and data analysis
- Working knowledge of the Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps, Power Pages, Power BI), knowledge of Logic Apps, or Azure Functions is a plus.
- Power BI development skills are a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, including project management experience and customer service competencies, for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting and training staff and facilitating accountability among vendors and technical teams.
- Experience with data migration projects preferred but not required - can be developed on the job
- 1-2 years of experience in a lead or supervisory role (managing 1-2 people OR leading projects)
- Prior experience working with nonprofit business models is a plus but not required.
- Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and Word.

CERTIFICATIONS:
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Fundamentals (CRM) - preferred at hire, or obtained within first 6-12 months with employer support
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Fundamentals - preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement Functional Consultant Associate - a plus but not required
LOCATION:
- The role may be fully remote or hybrid depending on proximity to our offices in New York City and Washington DC.

Salary range, based on skills and experience - $80,000-$90,000
