POSITION TITLE: Project Coordinator, Professional Talent

Work Arrangement (Hybrid)
This role blends both in-office and remote work. You’ll be expected to spend two days per week in our New York City office. The remaining three days are remote.
The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) consist of 141 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. The Jewish Federation system, among the top 10 charities on the continent, leads the largest network of volunteer and professional leaders who build and sustain Jewish communities that are healthy, safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive, educated and engaged, involved in the broader community, and deeply connected to Israel and the global Jewish people.
Department Overview
The Mandel Center for Leadership Excellence supports approximately 6,000 professionals across 141 local Federations in North America. Our vision is that Federations have the professional talent they need at every level to support and sustain flourishing Jewish communities. We do this through online and in-person training and conferences, recruitment efforts, analysis and assessment, consulting support and coaching services. The Mandel department has 3 priority areas:
- Recruit top talent for key roles across the system;
- Retain and develop Federation professionals by providing professional development in data-driven best practices and build networks, leadership skills, and communities of practice;
- Support Federations with data, analysis, HR systems and resources
Position Description
This is an ideal position for someone organized, energetic, and passionate about supporting leadership development in the Jewish nonprofit world. As Project Coordinator, you'll gain hands-on experience coordinating impactful programs, supporting senior leadership, and building key administrative and project management skills. Key Responsibilities
Executive Support (20%)
- Manage the Chief Talent Officer’s calendar, meetings, and travel logistics
- Assist with presentations, including research, design, and formatting
- Provide general support as needed
Professional Development Administration (80%)
- Organize logistics for a range of virtual and in-person training and events
- Manage program registrations, assessments, and Salesforce records in partnership with cross-functional teams
- Maintain content on our digital platform, FedHub for broad accessibility and relevance
- Support vendor contracts, invoicing, and budget tracking
- Manage scheduling, expenses, and ad hoc administrative tasks
- Lead or contribute to special projects as needed
- Minimal travel required
Qualifications
- 2+ years of project or program coordination experience in a professional environment
- Exceptional organizational, project-management, and multitasking abilities
- Proficient in using digital tools like Zoom, Salesforce, and Microsoft Office, with experience or comfort in designing engaging materials using Canva or PowerPoint
- Resourceful problem-solver who enjoys supporting others and building systems
- Strong communication and written skills
- Committed team player, eager to learn and grow in a mission-driven environment

Our compensation philosophy strives to be externally competitive and internally fair. Additionally, we offer voluntary learning programs throughout the year in subjects of interest to our staff.
Salary range: $60,000 - 70,000
