Title: Intern, Israel Educational Travel Alliance (IETA)

Location: Remote; optional opportunities for in-person work if based in Washington, DC or NYC

The Jewish Federations of North America (“JFNA”) consist of 141 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. The Jewish Federation system, among the top 10 charities on the continent, leads the largest network of volunteer and professional leaders who build and sustain Jewish communities that are healthy, safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive, educated and engaged, involved in the broader community, and deeply connected to Israel and the global Jewish people.

The Israel Educational Travel Alliance (IETA), a project of the Jewish Federations of North America, is seeking an intern to support its communications, project management, and work engaging the field. IETA represents 150 organizations and over 600 professionals providing group Israel educational travel journeys for Jews and non-Jews by conducting research, collecting and disseminating best practices, and hosting convenings and programs. This opportunity is up to 15 hours/week during the Fall semester, with likelihood of extending into the Spring and end in May 2026. Preference will be given to candidates who can commit to the full academic year.

We are a small and mighty team of two looking forward to adding a passionate and hardworking future leader. The ideal candidate is a strong writer, highly organized, and interested in Israel education, Jewish communal life, and travel-based experiential learning. Responsibilities will include drafting newsletters, hands-on project management efforts, event planning support, and general work to facilitate the effective and efficient growth of this department.

This is a remote position, with optional opportunities for in-person work if based in Washington, DC, or New York City.

Hourly rate will be determined by the location of the intern.

To apply, please email a resume and brief statement of interest to ieta@jewishfederations.org with the subject line: IETA Intern Application.
