SALARY RANGE: $60,000 - $75,000
LOCATION: Preferably based in NY; remote candidates considered.
The Jewish Federations of North America ("JFNA") consist of 141 Jewish Federations and dozens of Network communities which collectively raise and distribute more than $3 billion annually to support flourishing Jewish life and the needs of the Jewish people in their home communities and around the world. The Jewish Federation system, among the top 10 charities on the continent, leads the largest network of volunteer and professional leaders who build and sustain Jewish communities that are healthy, safe, caring, welcoming and inclusive, educated and engaged, involved in the broader community, and deeply connected to Israel and the global Jewish people.
Department Overview:
The Mandel Center for Leadership Excellence supports approximately 6,000 professionals across 141 local Federations in North America. Our vision is that Federations have the professional talent they need at every level to support and sustain flourishing Jewish communities. We do this through online and in-person training and conferences, recruitment efforts, analysis and assessment, consulting support and coaching services. The Mandel department has 3 priority areas:
- Recruit top talent for key roles across the system;
- Retain and develop Federation professionals by providing professional development in data-driven best practices and build networks, leadership skills, and communities of practice;
- Support Federations with data, analysis, HR systems and resources.
Position Description:
This role will work closely with the Associate Director, Talent Development and the Associate Vice President, Talent Development to coordinate talent operations, ensuring seamless logistical coordination for executive searches and onboarding across the Jewish Federation system. This team member will play a key role in supporting search operations, onboarding protocols, and workflows to enhance efficiency and service delivery. In addition, throughout the remainder of 2025, this position will support the implementation of the Jewish Communal Career Concierge Initiative supporting mid- and senior-level professionals in transitioning into Jewish communal careers.
Key Responsibilities: Executive Search & Onboarding
Executive Search & Onboarding Operations
- Provide logistical support for all phases of executive search processes, ensuring smooth communication and task management
- Manage and maintain Greenhouse (Applicant Tracking System) and LinkedIn Recruiter for search tracking, ensuring timely project openings/closures
- Stay current on new features of both platforms and provide recommendations to optimize utilization for the search team
- Track and manage search and onboarding-related tasks and deadlines in Asana and Salesforce
- Schedule Zoom meetings, including candidate screenings, interviews, search committee meetings, and new executive onboarding sessions
Search Cycle Management
- Assist in the production and refinement of key search documents, including customized job descriptions for C-suite roles, candidate scorecards, hiring manager communications, interview guides, and feedback surveys
- Format and review position summaries prior to the launch of searches
- Coordinate on-the-ground details for in-person finalist interviews, including search committee and stakeholder meetings in local communities
- Maintain and refresh a repository of C-suite job descriptions to provide best-in-class samples to Federations upon request
Job Board Management
- Correspond with hiring managers and search chairs throughout the field to assist them in posting open roles on the JFNA Career Opportunities Board
- Track and update job postings submitted directly to the Career Opportunities Board, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely turnaround
- Monitor external job boards featuring senior Federation positions, including JPro’s CareerHub, to ensure accuracy and wide visibility to the candidate pool
Jewish Communal Career Concierge Initiative (July – December 2025)
- Project manage the Jewish Communal Career Concierge Initiative, including updating LinkedIn pipelines of prospective professionals, scheduling career consultations and webinars, and tracking data to prepare for funder reporting on benchmarks and outcomes
Other Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support on other pipeline and recruitment programs, including the Jewish Federations Executive Accelerator
- Support special projects as requested by JFNA’s Chief Talent Officer
Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Operations & Project Management Skills
- Proven success in operations or project management, including executing multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- High level of organization with attention to detail
Communications & Relationship Building Savvy
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships across a broad range of stakeholders
- Professional presence and sound judgment to represent JFNA and its partners in external engagements
Technology & Research Proficiency
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Canva, Zoom, LinkedIn, Asana, and Salesforce; prior experience with Greenhouse ATS and LinkedIn Recruiter preferred
- Strong research skills, with ability to use internet and database research tools to support search and talent initiatives

- Ability to self-direct, take initiative, and work both independently and as part of a team
- A team player mentality, with willingness to support the broader goals of the Mandel Center
Other Requirements
- Ability to work remotely with limited travel for key programs, organizational events, and occasional meetings
