The Marketing & Communications Manager will champion and implement an innovative strategic marketing & communications plan for the organization that is fully integrated with Jewish Federation of Greater Naples’ mission, vision and operational goals. Reporting to the CEO, in collaboration with all departments, the Marketing & Communications Manager will manage every aspect of internal and external messaging, public relations, and all electronic/print materials.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create consistent branding and messaging organization-wide, managing evolving marketing resources including a combination of traditional and new/digital strategies to further the mission of the Federation.
  • Maintain primary website (jewishnaples.org), making updates to time-bound pages, and creating new pages for events as needed.
  • Oversee the print and digital communications, a monthly newspaper provided for free to the Jewish community. This includes, communicating with community and staff to collect articles, maintaining submission forms, working with third-party editor, uploading monthly articles, ensuring print copy meets established deadlines.
  • Collaborate across departments to create collateral and creative materials for fundraising and programmatic efforts, email campaigns, newsletters, including general events, and programs.
  • Develop and execute a robust innovative marketing strategy that supports the needs of the organization and other stakeholders while increasing brand identity and recognition.
  • Drive strategy to increase social and interactive multi-media marketing campaigns including YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and other relevant social media outlets.
  • Collaborate with the senior staff and program managers to develop and review press releases, campaigns and marketing materials to support patronage, sponsorship and endowment efforts.
  • Maintain and manage crisis communication plans and procedures.
  • Manage financial resources to successfully achieve marketing goals and objectives within the allocated budget.
  • Lead the creation of weekly eBlast and other intermittent eBlasts (fundraising and emergency communications).
  • Develop public relations plan, including distribution of press releases, facilitate subject matter expertise, article opportunities, and relationships with major media outlets.
  • Position Federation as a central voice of the Jewish community.
  • Maintain and organize org photo files, including historical archives.


QUALIFICATIONS:
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a passion for building relationships and creating connections that promote Jewish identity and engagement for the diverse Greater Naples Jewish community.

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field/advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of professional experience in non-profit marketing/communications.
  • Experience in philanthropy, non-profit management or client service.
  • Demonstrated success in creating and executing effective social, web and interactive multi-media marketing campaigns.
  • Must have a charismatic and engaging personality with a strong image and presence that engenders confidence and consensus building from staff, management and the board of trustees.
  • Must possess the interpersonal skills to build strong relationships enterprise-wide, leveraging both strategic and operational leadership expertise.
  • Strong EQ and “touch”; an active listener who is open to new concepts and ideas, able to synthesize issues, and provide clarity and illumination to others.
  • Enthusiastic resourceful self-starter, who takes initiative and makes judgments independently, yet has the ability to work collaboratively and negotiate partnerships with colleagues, staff and volunteers.
  • Able to effectively multi-task, roll up one’s sleeves, establish priorities, and work in a fast-paced, team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills coupled with superior listening, observation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong commitment to the Jewish people and Israel and knowledge of Jewish history and current events.
  • Ability to work flexible hours (some evenings and Sundays will be required).
  • On-site candidates preferred; remote will be considered based on experience.
