About Changemakers
Jewish Changemakers is the Jewish Federation of North America's leadership development initiative for Jewish young adults between the ages of 20 and 25. The big idea is to recruit and train a generation of young Jewish leaders – a vanguard that will transform our community and the world, now and into the future. Changemakers consists of an initial catalytic immersive experience, delivered through a six-week, virtual Fellowship, and ongoing leadership development and engagement through the Changemakers Network, our global leadership network of 2,500 alumni since the program's launch in 2020.
Position Summary
Changemakers seeks an experienced, entrepreneurial professional to serve as Associate Director, Changemakers Network. This individual will engage Changemakers’ 2,500+ alumni (Network Members) through networking, programming, and communication, to deepen and broaden Network Member engagement. The ideal candidate will be engaging, collaborative, and self-starting, unafraid to take risks and learn from successes and failures alike.
The Associate Director, Changemakers Network will report to the Director, Changemakers Leadership Development, and work closely with the Changemakers Managing Director and Senior Manager, Jewish Changemakers Community Management and Operations.
Primary Job Responsibilities
The primary responsibilities of this position fall into the following areas:
Program and Community Management
- Vision and execute meaningful programming and offerings for Changemakers Network, informed by and building upon existing strategy
- Identify leaders within the Changemakers Network to lift as key partners and ambassadors
- Utilize a network weaving approach to empower Network Members to create their own communities and connections
- Redesign and relaunch Changemakers Mentorship program
- Develop calendar and content for communications with Network Members (e.g. newsletter/email, social media, LinkedIn, Changemakers’ proprietary platform, etc.)
- Work with the Director, Changemakers Leadership Development to design and implement meaningful Changemakers engagement opportunities across JFNA, including the General Assembly, Board Committees, Task Forces, and travel missions.
External Relations
- Establish and nurture partnerships with external organizations to connect Network Members for engagement and leadership opportunities per their interests (Jewish, non-Jewish, with a Next Gen focus, and beyond)
- Help connect Network Members to positions of leadership and/or engagement opportunities in other organizations, including local Jewish Federations and other Jewish organizations
Operations
- Work with Jewish Federations of North America Impact and Growth team to field and analyze annual Alumni Engagement Survey and other ongoing evaluation and research as needed
- Manage platforms of communication and tracking among Changemakers participants and organizational partners, including website, email, social media, and Salesforce CRM

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 5-7 years of experience (ideally in the areas of program creation, marketing/communications, and/or community management)
- Excited by opportunities for entrepreneurialism and to work on a startup initiative within a legacy organization
- Experience creating and launching new programs, offerings, or initiatives
- Relationship-oriented professional with experience developing, leveraging, and stewarding constituent relationships
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, strategic thinker and doer
- Strong team player and comfortable with independent work
Salary: $80,000-$90,000 plus benefits.
JFNA has U.S. offices in NYC and DC. Open to remote work location, occasional travel required.
