Position Summary:

The Catering/Banquet Server provides food and beverage service for catered events and programs. This is a part-time, event-based role with a fluctuating schedule that may include weekday or weekend shifts, during the day or evening. The server plays a key role in delivering a professional and welcoming experience for JCC members, guests, and clients.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide courteous and efficient table service during catered functions.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of events, including tables, linens, and food service stations.
• Maintain cleanliness of event spaces throughout and after service.
• Coordinate with kitchen and catering teams for food timing and service needs.
• Follow all food safety, kosher, and hygiene standards.
• Represent the JCC professionally and support a high-quality guest experience.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Education – Minimum Required or Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience – Minimum Required or Preferred:
Prior serving or banquet experience preferred.

Special Skills:
- Courteous and professional demeanor.
- Ability to follow directions and communicate clearly.
- Attention to detail in setup and cleanup.
- Knowledge of kosher service standards preferred.

Physical Abilities:
Able to lift up to 30 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods.

Schedule:
Event-based; includes weekdays, weekends, day and evening shifts as needed.
