Position Summary: As the New Albany Community Engagement Associate, you will be responsible for creating fresh and engaging programming for the New Albany Jewish community.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Program Planning & Logistics:

  • Create, coordinate and execute programming for the New Albany Jewish community including speaker programs, cultural arts events, mahjong classes and open play, family programs and other community building opportunities.
  • Implement Jewish Life & Learning opportunities that engage families and adults in New Albany.
  • Manage event logistics, including venue selection, catering, invitations, guest lists, and on-site coordination.
  • Work with vendors, volunteers, and staff to ensure events run smoothly.
  • Develop a committee of community members to help with the program development in New Albany.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Knowledge and Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  2. Experience: Minimum required or preferred:
    • Minimum 3 years’ experience in customer service, communications, or event planning.
  3. Excellent interpersonal and rapport building skills.
  4. Proficient with technology and comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite.
