Assistant Vice President of Facilities
The Associated: Jewish Federation of Baltimore has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant Vice President of Facilities. The ideal candidate will oversee building infrastructure systems for all of our facilities and buildings in the Associated System by ensuring the optimum functioning of the building systems and services including HVAC, electrical, fire/life safety, security, plumbing, and elevators. The AVP of Facilities will also oversee contractors for budgeted annual CAPEX replacement projects to facilitate smooth transition into operations and maintenance life cycle. This role will also manage staff in the maintenance of buildings and grounds.
This is an on-site position, five days per week, based at 5700 Park Heights Ave, Baltimore, MD 21215
Main Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of The Associated’s facilities main building infrastructure, including purchasing, receiving, troubleshooting, and vendor/contractor coordination.
- Oversee preventative maintenance programs for equipment and systems to ensure reliability and minimize downtime.
- Oversee replacement planning for core building systems and supervise related construction projects.
- Monitor and evaluate security systems, including access controls, cameras, and elevators, in partnership with IT and vendors.
- Manage infrastructure budgets for several different facilities, including accounts payable and contract oversight.
- Supervise system facilities staff and the Operations Manager at Associated Headquarters including responsibilities for meeting coordination, security, building maintenance, and purchasing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- At least 10 years experience in the field
- Construction management, owners’ rep, single line design & sketch, general contracting, building design administration, managerial oversight and supervision
- Intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, Adobe Acrobat or similar construction cost estimating.
- Sit for long periods of time
- Lift 10-50 pounds
Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000; Salary is commensurate with experience.
